Where Fixflo may suit you better
Fixflo lists features aimed at larger and more complex portfolios: planned maintenance, a contractor marketplace with 24/7 cover, dashboards with targets, CRM integrations and an app for contractors. If you manage blocks or a big mixed portfolio, those may matter more to you than how tenants send the first message.
Where Hauz may suit you better
If most of your tenants are students in shared houses, Hauz meets them where they already are: WhatsApp. Nobody has to find a portal or remember a password, and Hauz asks the questions that matter in a shared house, like which room, when someone's in and whether a contractor can use a key. There's no minimum number of properties, no setup fee, and you can cancel any time. For 100 properties Hauz costs £150 a month.
Questions worth asking any supplier
- How long is the contract, and how much notice do I need to give?
- What will I pay each month for my portfolio, including setup?
- How do tenants report a repair, and do they need to log in?
- How are emergencies flagged out of hours?
- What records can I show later of what was reported and when?
